Training – Week 17 & 18

Finally, chest infection has cleared up and I was able to get back in the gym. I trained in a local gym on the Wednesday as it was cheaper than paying to train in the Muay Thai gym then felt good enough to go back to the kick boxing on Thursday. So good in fact that I ran down to the gym. After the session I wasn’t 100% happy with my leg so I decided to take the rest of the week off rather than risk being out of action for another 3-4 weeks.

The following week went much better and I trained 5 days. Not sure where I got the energy from but I trained really hard all week and can’t really understand why I didn’t seem to miss being out of the gym for 5 weeks or so. I have lost around 16 kilos since I arrived here though so that is obviously making a difference.

Where you watching the game today?  Very unlucky to lose two goals.  Good to hear about the 16Kg weight loss – I could be doing with that too!
Keep it up and stay safe.  Wondering if there has been any flooding there?  I don't think so.  I hear that HD's will be doubling in price soon as all the main factories are in central Thailand and are under water.  Managed to get my hands on a few 3TB drives for a reasonable price…..

Watched the game in a bar near the night markets in Phuket town and thought we played really well. Shame about the late goals but Bolton was better. So far I think we're doing ok. We've had a lot of rain here but still some sunny days. No flooding here. It's worse up north and Bangkok is on the news all the time. It has started to affect supplies in the local shops. Funnily enough water is the one thing that is difficult to get hold of but alarmingly this week supplies of certain beers also started to dry up :-( Not really done anything at all as far as IT is concerned for nearly a year now. My head hasn't been in it. I have no idea at the moment what I'll do when I return to the UK as far as work is concerned and don't want to think about it too much until I'm back.

    Hello Andy,
been a while since I checked out your site; great to see that you're still enjoying your travels, and keeping-up with your regime despite the injuries and setbacks.  16 kilos is an amazing amount to lose, you're an inspiration!

Hey Nikki, Still enjoying the training. I have had a good few weeks and am fully back into the swing of things now. Touch wood my calf has been fine. I really don’t like it when I miss training and I want to be below 90 Kilos before Xmas.
