   The girls say you have to put a ruler next to scary wildlife when you’re taking a picture – that could be a magnified money-spider for all we know.

   It’s great that you’re getting out and meeting new people. I’d still have my head stuck in a book. Your friends seem lovely, and the food in the photo looks amazing.

   Wimbledon starts next week, so we’re averaging one big downpour a day here at the moment. I’m meeting H later for an evening of cultural enlightenment

     Tell the girls ( excuse the French) I used the effing scale and it was really effing big ! No time for rulers in the jungle
